Are you trying to overcome your fear of speaking, learn how to make
presentations, lead a meeting, and get ahead in your career? Then Capital
Toastmasters I is the club for you!
We are a local club (#876) of Toastmasters International, which has been dedicated to self-improvement in public speaking and organizational leadership since 1924. Capital Toastmasters I, founded in 1950, is a community club: we are not sponsored by any employer and are open to all members of the community. We meet at the the National Community Reinvestment Coalition Training Room, 8th Floor, 727 15th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005-2727.
Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month (except for the 4th Tuesday in December) from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Luncheon is provided. If you are interested in attending a meeting, please see "Visit Our Club" to learn about scheduling a visit or contact our Vice President/Membership, Erin Markowitz or call her at (301) 762-5646. Guests are always welcome!
Capital Toastmasters is pleased to hold the designation of "Perfect Ten" President's Distinguished Club -- the highest level -- from Toastmasters International in recognition of our active educational and organizational program.
