If you think you might want to try Toastmasters but would like to know what you are getting into, we invite you to pay us a visit and see the club in action! We meet at the the National Community Reinvestment Coalition Training Room, 8th Floor, 727 15th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005-2727, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month (except for the 4th Tuesday in December and sometimes August) from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Luncheon is served.
You'll see how every member is involved in every meeting, how the program really works, and just how supportive and encouraging we are.
You will have an opportunity to speak as well! We ask guests briefly to introduce themselves and tell us who they are and why they've come. At the end of the meeting, we ask you to give your overall impression of the meeting.
If you're serious about getting better at public speaking -- or even getting started in public speaking -- Capital Toastmasters I is the club for you!
You are welcome to visit us once at no cost to you. After that, we'll ask you to cover the cost of your lunch, if you join us for lunch.
